So I decided that for the month of July I will be shooting one photo every day that steps outside the standard conventions of good photography. It's just a fun thinking exercise that I thought I would do so I could break out of the stress of getting that "perfect shot".

I'm really looking for some other people to join in and do this with me! I figure if we get a few people, I could post a journal of their thoughts on the project after we all finish and do a news story to feature some of the more interesting pieces.

I guess what really spurred my interest in the idea was this article [link] and the fact that online critiques, for the most part, are total shit. Once you try to please the broadest audience you tend to shoot more and more mundane photos; something I've started falling into. This podcast [link] from Radiant Vista also talks about this idea and references the above article. I seriously think that even if you don't join in with me that these two links are worth reviewing.
